I
fell in love with
this noble breed in 1980. It was late 1990's that I started
showing. Then in the next decade decided to start our breeding
program. With our breeding program, we have been pleased that our
sweat and hard work is paying off. It truly is a work in progress
and a work of love.
PrydWynn's
breeding program is designed to produce superior quality
Dobermans. Besides the structure of the progeny we are striving
to produce, we look to improve the health issues with this breed.
We ideally want Beauty, Brains, Longevity, Health. We are, I
guess selfish, we want it all. Granted there is no perfect dog,
but we set our goals high and we are willing to do what it takes.
Researching bloodlines, looking at produced progeny, researching
pedigrees, etc.
The following is the opening paragraph of
the DPCA breed standard, "The appearance is that of a dog
that is of medium size, with a body that is square. Compactly built,
muscular and powerful, for great endurance and speed. Elegant in
appearance, of proud carriage, reflecting great nobility and
temperament. Energetic, watchful, determined, alert, fearless, loyal
and obedient."
The above is our
blueprint we work towards in our breeding program.
I have been a member
of DPCA(Doberman Pinscher Club of America) since 1995. I willing
abide by a code of ethics as set forth by this club.
My
foundation
bitch is AKC, UKC, UCICB CH. Toledobes Listen To
The Wind, aka Holly.
Holly is a very lovely red Doberman bitch.
She has a wonderful
temperament. She is our driving force. In Oct. '04, I put
an
International title on her. Holly was owner handler from
start to
finish.
After
Holly
obtained her AKC Championship, this again was owner
handled, we
decided to breed her. This was the start of our breeding program.
My
background
is dogs. In our shop we offer boarding, grooming,
obedience classes,
conformation classes and we have a large selection
of retail supplies.
We cater to breed specific items.
So
this was the beginning of our love and dedication of this fine
noble
breed. We are looking forward to many years
in our adventure
with Dobermans.
We are truly
honored to have one of our own in the Pilot Dog
Program, PrydWynn's
Getting All Your Best, Jazz. She is pictured on our Family Picture Page.
Truly Dobermans
are a working breed. They can do almost anything,
Obedience, tracking,
agility, conformation, herding, best friend, protector. The list
could go on and on.
Our advice to
anyone wanting to follow this dream, is work hard, love hard and be very
selective in the breeders you may
purchase your dog from.
Not all breeders are created
equal. So please do your research.
Dobermans are not for
everyone. So please do your research.
Do your homework before
you buy. Ask a lot of questions, as they will be asked of you.
This is a lifetime decision and commitment.
We also
believe in giving the serious novice a chance. After all, we were all novice at one
point and time.
You may always
reach us by phone or email. We are centrally located in
Missouri. We moved from Idaho to Missouri so we would be able to
go to more shows without all the driving. When we have a litter,
we are always home.
Thank
you
